The best news of today: the Nutella burger
It is my honor to bring you the best news of today. You could probably use it on this dreary gray Monday. Colleagues, are you reading along too? Because you will also become intensely happy from this.
A soft and airy brioche bun thickly spread with a good layer of Nutella, preferably with a layer of butter underneath, just because it can. This sounds like a dream for you just before that four o'clock dip. But it can get even better. In Dublin, all chocolate addicts can line up for a real Nutella burger. A NUTELLA burger yes. Fried and all.
Two soft sweet buns, a few slices of strawberry, a dollop of cream with real vanilla, and in between a fried disc of Nutella. Ruby’s Pizza and Grill Point Square makes it for you. The restaurant has been packed since the deliciousness appeared on the brunch menu, and I understand why.
For less than nine euros, you can indulge yourself with a fried slice of chocolate. But of course, you can also just dive into the kitchen yourself, because I have the recipe for you. Saves you a round trip to Dublin and an hour of freezing in line.
For two burgers
- 4 heaping tablespoons of Nutella
- 1 heaping tablespoon of powdered sugar
- 2 brioche buns or 2 donuts
- 4 strawberries
- cup of whipped cream
- 1 egg
- 130 grams of flour
- 250 ml of milk
- deep fryer or Airfryer
1. Whisk the Nutella with the powdered sugar.
2. Line a large baking dish with parchment paper, take a cookie cutter and place it on the baking sheet. Fill it with the Nutella mixture so that you get Nutella circles.
3. Place the tray in the refrigerator for at least twenty minutes.
4. Sift the flour, add the milk and the egg, and mix until you get a pancake batter.
5. Take the Nutella circles out of the refrigerator and dip them in the pancake batter.
6. Fry the little burgers in a layer of oil, deep fryer, or in the Airfryer.
7. Slice the strawberries and whip the cream.
8. Cut the brioche bun in half and fill it with the burger, the cream, and the strawberries.
