This perfume was worn by Lady Di and Kate Middleton on their wedding day
When you get married, you think about everything. The number of grams of handmade paper for the invitation, the flowers on the table, the cutlery, your lingerie. No detail is forgotten, so of course you want just that last little push towards an unforgettable impression and you think very, very carefully about your perfume. When you walk down the aisle, you just don't want to smell like Sabatini (remember? Remember?) or Lou Lou (same! Same!). As is often the case, we can indulge in princesses and queens. Those who have everything at their disposal to conjure up the best of the best. Here comes the reveal.
Lady Diana
She wore Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant Paris when she moved her meters-long train towards the altar. A telling detail is that just before she entered the church, she wanted to apply some extra perfume, overshot, and spilled so much that she made a stain on her dress. No dog saw it, everyone was blinded by her beauty and the train, but still.
Kate Middleton
Kate chose White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum. When that became known, all the bottles were sold out within minutes.
Queen Elizabeth II
I don't really have a picture of how carnations smell (it might have to do with the fact that I like to walk around the average carnation), but it is the favorite flower and hence the favorite scent of the Queen Mum. That's why she always chooses, even on her wedding day, for White Rose by Floris. Classics choose classics, of which there is proof and deed.
What did you wear on your wedding day? Not that I have any plans yet, but I am just very curious. You can email me at may-britt@amayzine.com. Thanks and bye, May.
