What's in your glass?
“Rosé.”
Where do you settle when the mercury rises above twenty?
“The Branding with my sister and friends. A moment of happiness. But usually, I'm just working.”
Your secret favorite to absorb extra, extra hours of sun? Yes, we want your secret terrace.
“Unfortunately, I don't have many hours in the Netherlands to absorb the sun, I usually race back and forth and like to work at the Hoxton. But on Sundays, I sometimes enjoy a little drink at Girassol.”
And what’s on your plate?
“At the Hoxton, that changes from day to day, and on the terrace of Girassol, I let myself be surprised by Portuguese delicacies.”
Which destination is on your ticket?
“Positano, Bali, and home in Llafranc.”
The three ingredients you need for the perfect holiday?
“Sun, sea, and love.”
What book are you reading this summer?
“Unbrandable, I got that from my team.”
And what’s coming out of your speakers?
“My playlist on Spotify, a summer story of Claartje Rose. Really a recommendation.”
Are you the tennis racket type or do your toes not come out of the sand?
“Of the tennis racket kind, haha. I know Llafranc so well, so I can sometimes stay in bed for a morning. But in new places, my curious self comes out again and I want to go on an adventure.”
Your tip for when there’s a long flight ahead?
“I try to do a lot in the hours before, then I'm nicely tired and fall asleep on the plane. But writing in my diary works well too.”
How does your ideal summer day go?
“Very relaxed. Up early, a little sailing, good food, endless laughter with family and friends. Until late in the evening or sometimes until the early morning.”
And what do you immediately grab from the closet to wear when it’s finally warm?
“Actually, mostly not too much.”
Where did you go on vacation as a child?
“In the summer vacation to Llafranc and a long trip with the family at Christmas, I have my fondest memories of that.”
Are you a luxury type or do you go back to basics in a tent and be green by the campfire?
“I love adventure, but I also sleep particularly well in a nice bed at night. So you can fill in what type I am.’
What do you do in the summer that you would never think of in the winter?
“The adventurous nights until the late hours. The ones you think in winter: brrr, too cold, I'm going home on time.”
Are you team soft serve or team water ice?
“Soft ice cream with disco dip. But actually, I just want a banana milkshake at the IJscuypje.”
And, did you bring back any beautiful love stories as souvenirs from your vacation?
“I wisely keep those to myself. But saying ‘yes’ on a first date to Barcelona with a guy I hardly know is already the best choice of my year.”
