What is better than starting Sunday with a donut? Starting the day with a plate of fresh warm donuts drenched in sauce of warm blueberries and creamy Greek yogurt. Ready in less than half an hour and still healthy. Girlfriend, sprint to the kitchen, because for the tastiest breakfast you really don't have to leave the house.

Breakfast donuts

  • 100 grams of medjool dates
  • 100 grams of self-raising flour
  • 130 grams of almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • olive oil
  • a container of blueberries
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 5 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • cinnamon
  1. Pit the dates and put the dates together with the flour, the egg, salt, and 70 ml of water in a blender.
  2. Mix well until a ball of dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured countertop until it forms a sheet 1.5 cm thick.
  4. Use a bowl with a diameter of 8 cm to cut out circles of dough.
  5. Then use, for example, a toilet paper roll or small shot glass to cut out the middle of the circles.
  6. Use the leftovers to cut out more donuts.
  7. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, place the donuts in for 5 minutes.
  8. Place a large frying pan over medium heat and add the olive oil or a generous knob of butter to the pan.
  9. Remove the donuts from the pot and pat them dry.
  10. Fry the donuts until golden brown.
  11. Add the blueberries along with the maple syrup and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  12. At the last moment, add the yogurt and divide the donuts onto two plates. Sprinkle with some cinnamon.
