3x meat dishes you can put on the table tonight

We are celebrating the day of the love. As if that shouldn't be celebrated every day, but that's beside the point. Did you just agree with your loved one that you wouldn't participate in this, but the best man once again didn't stick to it and you woke up to fresh croissants, flowers and of champagne? It's not too late, girlfriend. Dive into the kitchen, chill the beer and put the meat on the grill. After all, love still goes through the stomach, so you're definitely going to score points with this.

Deluxe burger

  • For the burgers
  • 300 grams of minced meat from the butcher
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices of white bread, soaked in a little milk
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • salt and pepper

2 brioche buns

  • For the toppings:
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • grated fresh cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices of pickle
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • iceberg lettuce leaves
  • optional: ketchup

1. Heat some olive oil in the pan and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.

2. Mix the minced meat with the beaten egg, the bread, the ketchup, the herbs, and the sautéed onion.

3. Knead well together and form two equal burgers.

4. Heat a frying pan and cook the bacon until crispy. Set it aside and cook the burgers in the bacon fat until done.

5. At the end, top the burgers with some cheese and put a lid on the pan.

6. Cut the buns in half and start assembling the burgers.

7. Place a lettuce leaf on the bun followed by the burger, a slice of tomato, pickle, red onion, and a dollop of ketchup. Top off with the top half of the bun.

Spicy beef tortillas

  • 4 tortilla wraps
  • 2 steaks of good quality
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 red onions
  • 1 lime
  • 1 avocado
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • Sriracha sauce
  • coriander

1. Let the steaks come to room temperature.

2. Slice the onions into half rings and the bell pepper into strips.

3. Mash the avocado and season it with salt, pepper, and lime juice.

4. Cook the onions until they start to caramelize and set them aside.

5. Then cook the bell pepper in some olive oil.

6. Heat a generous chunk of butter together with a tablespoon of olive oil.

7. Cook the steak in the hot pan, turning it over.

8. Remove the steak from the heat and wrap it in some aluminum foil. Let it rest for a moment.

9. Warm the wraps in a frying pan. Meanwhile, slice the meat.

10. Serve the wraps with the meat, the onions, the bell pepper, the avocado, the cilantro, and some Sriracha sauce.

Chicken with beer from the oven

  • 1 organic chicken
  • olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
  • 1 can of beer
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • fresh coriander

For the spice mix:

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 dried red chili
  • 1 teaspoon salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

2. Let the chicken come to room temperature.

3. Put all the ingredients for the marinade in a mortar and grind finely.

4. Rub the chicken with olive oil. Use your hands to spread the mixture over the chicken.

5. Open the can of beer and pour out two-thirds. Then place the chicken upright over the can of beer.

6. Place the chicken in the preheated oven until it is golden brown and cooked through. Check after an hour with a long skewer if it is done.

7. Brush the chicken with barbecue sauce and then put the chicken back in the oven for a while.

8. Finely chop the red chili and spring onion.

9. Chop the coriander. Remove the chicken from the oven and sprinkle the red chili, onion, and coriander over it.

Serve with a simple salad. Oh no, too green. Serve with fries. And mayo, lots of mayo.
