3x Summer High tea

I know: last week you could still read how dedicated I was to my ‘sugarless’ month. But now that the end is in sight (tomorrow to be precise), I'm already planning my first sugar rush. In the form of a high tea to be exact, and it's not just about the towering sweet platter in front of you. The ambiance, spending hours having conversations with friends that you can't have during a quick coffee, and everyone is also nicely dressed for the occasion. And now you might be thinking more about winter or bad weather for a high tea, but there are a number of fantastic places in Amsterdam that have designed a special ‘summer high tea’. So pull out your cutest summer dress, call your besties, and maybe I'll see you soon at one of these locations.

Waldorf Summer Afternoon Tea

Last year I experienced the most delicious Afternoon Tea of my life at this location and I've had quite a few... I'm curious if they will surpass my experience with this edition: the photos do not lie. This year's theme is summery beach attractions and circus acts, so it will be a feast for the eyes. Just looking at these clown lollipops and unicorn cookies makes my mouth water. From now until August, you can enjoy this Summer Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam. If you want to fully experience the experience including live piano music, book a table on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Van Gogh Afternoon Tea @ Conservatorium Hotel

On the occasion of the new exhibition Van Gogh & Japan, the Conservatorium Hotel created a special Afternoon Tea. Inspired by the exotic scents and colors that Japan has to offer, this Afternoon Tea promises a flavor explosion that will stay with you for a long time. Together with Marly, I quickly reserved a table for mid-June. Be quick, as this experience is available until June 24.

Late Tea @Amstel Hotel

For those who want something different than a classic high tea, you should try the Late Tea at the Amstel Hotel. You are expected at the beginning of a sultry summer evening and overwhelmed with four culinary courses, accompanied by the most delicious tea cocktails. Yes, you heard it right: cocktails with tea as the main ingredient. An alcohol-free session is of course also possible. Now they can also call it a ‘Special Dinner Experience’, because after this you absolutely do not need to have dinner anymore. Every Friday and Saturday you can enjoy the Late Tea at the Amstel Hotel starting at 7:00 PM.
