4 easy dips
That are also delicious as breakfast
We are quite fans of spreads at the editorial office. Hummus, Philadelphia with garden herbs, sandwich spread, baba ganoush, vegetable spreads and so on. So we usually kill that four o'clock dip quite healthily. But as soon as someone craves something sweet, a sprint is made to the gas station and the bars chocolate and bags of candy appear on the table. That's why I have something new for you today. Four sweet spreads that are not only delicious as breakfast but also go very well for dipping your apple.
Silky chocolate hummus
A can of chickpeas
4 large soft dates
3 generous tablespoons of cocoa powder
75 ml oat milk
1 teaspoon butter
Toppings
Sesame seeds
Chopped almonds
Banana slices
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and add a small splash of oat milk.
- Mix until it becomes a nice smooth mass. Add some extra milk if it is too thick.
Serve with pieces of fruit or spread a generous amount on a cracker or rice cake.
Strawberries & cream
150 grams raw cashews
Five strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or the seeds from a fresh vanilla pod
2 fresh soft dates
- Soak the cashews overnight in water or, if you're short on time, for fifteen minutes in hot water.
- Drain the nuts and pat them dry.
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix until you get a smooth mass.
Serve with pieces of fruit or spread a generous amount on a cracker or rice cake.
Lime coconut dip
150 ml Greek yogurt
1 can of coconut milk
Zest of 1 lime
Juice of half a lime
Splash of maple syrup
Grated coconut
- Put your can of coconut milk in the fridge for at least four hours.
- Open the can and only take out the hard part from the can.
- Whip the coconut smooth and add the yogurt, zest & juice of the lime and maple syrup.
- Garnish with the coconut zest.
Go Cinnamon
1 can of cannellini beans
4 large dates
1.5 tsp cinnamon
Splash of almond milk
Pinch of salt
- Put all the ingredients in the blender and mix until you get a smooth and creamy mass.
