6x healthy snacking but in a different way

And easy to take with you

In January, my plan for a bit of a tight summer started. And pay extra attention to that ‘bit’, because we need to stay realistic. I walked into a gym, actually started exercising, and transformed my fridge into a healthy area.

Nibbling on an apple? Mwah. Nibbling on a carrot? Pffff. I find healthy snacking boring. I really do snack healthily, but it can all be a bit more fun. What you want is to fluff things up. Yes, that’s what we’ll call it from now on: fluffed-up, healthy snacks. I say: we start on Wednesday, because Vivian Reijs and Lidl declare that day as National Vegetable and Fruit Day. You can stop by to stock up. To help you on your way: five times healthy snacking but fluffed up.

  1. Cucumber with pepper and a pinch of Wadden herbs salt
  2. Strawberries with mint and a small drop of balsamic for flavor
  3. A mix of watermelon, fresh dill, and a tiny bit of crumbled feta (just a tiny bit, okay?)
  4. Crudités with a dip dressing. Mix some olive oil with water and herbs and you’re done.
  5. A salad of your favorite fruit, because that looks more fun than a whole apple.
  6. A carrot with homemade hummus.

Disclaimer: be a bit careful with all the additions, otherwise we can’t label it as healthy.
