7x this way you stay fit on your vacation

Because life is simply not fair, the list of unfair things is also a thousand times longer than that of fair things. This way you enjoy exactly thirty seconds of a chunk of Tony and then it parks itself on your hip for thirty days. It also takes you a year to get into some sports shape, but go on vacation for two weeks and all the built-up energy is – poof – gone. Therefore, I present 7 exercises that you can also do on vacation. Just right before breakfast, then it’s still cool and you have an extremely satisfied feeling for the rest of the day and you can still have a scoop of ice cream.

1. Plank

Start with a minute. It seems hellish, but you will see that this really gets better quickly. My advice is to do a minute straightforward, then thirty seconds side plank left and thirty seconds side plank right, and then move from a high plank to a low plank for a minute. Thirty seconds rest and repeat this. A total of three times. Yes sorry, I did say that life was unfair.


2. Squats

Again a trio of exercises. Get into a good squat position and hold this position for thirty seconds. After thirty seconds, gently move up and down for another thirty seconds. Small movements. After thirty seconds, do another thirty seconds of jump squats. And you can feel it coming... Also this set three times in total.


3. The embarrassing but oh so effective butt and belly exercise

Or: the shoulder bridge. Lie on your back, with your arms along your body and your chin on your chest. Now lift your hips as high as possible. Lower your hips just above the ground. And back up. Thirty seconds. Exactly. Repeat this three times.


4. Standing bike

Or the standing bicycle crunch. Stand upright, hands behind your neck and then bring your left elbow to your right knee. Thirty seconds times three.


5. The V-position

Time to relax now. Just sit still, but on your sit bones with your lower legs parallel to the floor. Hold for thirty seconds.


6. Arms

Spread your arms and keep them parallel to the floor. Now make very small circles forward and after thirty seconds backward. In total, you hold them horizontally for a minute. And that again three times. Yes, yes, that body doesn’t just come easily.

7. Triceps dip

God, this sounds a lot easier than it is. Place your hands on the edge of the chair, your legs are on the ground in front of you. Lower your butt because you are sinking through your arms. Sink deep and push back up. Twelve times and that times three.
