7 x why you should think of Sir Albert once

Amsterdam has an intensely high concentration of cool hotels. And classics. The Amstel, the Dylan, the Conservatorium Hotel, the Waldorf Astoria, the W, the Grand. If you're looking for five stars, you'll find them in Amsterdam. But there are so many hotels that are just a notch below. Just as cool, maybe you don't have a bath but a shower, but hey, you also feel that in your wallet. Of all the four-star hotels, Sir Albert is by far my favorite and here's why:

The location

On the edge of De Pijp but if you stretch your arm just a little further, you touch Amsterdam Zuid. You're close to the Rijksmuseum, can hop to the PC and walk right into the Pijp, where you definitely need to pay a visit to our friends at Ou Boutique on Gerard Doustraat, which is becoming one of the coziest new streets in Amsterdam.

The decor

The hall. The hall. You want to slide it completely into your living room. And take a lot of photos for your insta. And work on your laptop all afternoon. And feel at home. Think Eams, Piet Boon, Marcel Wanders.

Izakaya

I mean. One of the best restaurants in Amsterdam is the restaurant of this hotel. Did I already mention that I once sat next to Rihanna?

The rooms

They are not crazily large like those in the Conservatorium Hotel, but they are equipped with all conveniences. The bed is from Simmons and has an extra thick top layer with a featherbed and bed linen made of extra fine 300-thread Egyptian cotton. The bathroom has a huge rain shower and luxury spa and cosmetic products from DEAD CLEAN.

Prices people, prices

Sir Albert has won the award for Best Leading Boutique Hotel in the Netherlands twice. And rightly so because everything has been thoughtfully considered.

Tips from Albert

In your room, there is a little black book from Sir Albert with all the nice addresses in the area.

To this quote

Like all great travellers I have seen more things than I remember and remember more than I have seen. There. Think about that for a moment. In your soft little bed.
