Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran have sung their duet live for the very first time
Sorry, but this is huge. World news. The biggest female star of the moment? Beyoncé. Of course. The biggest male singer of the moment? Ed Sheeran with his three hundred and eighty hits in a row. Put these two together on a stage and you get this.
It all happened at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg, where the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela was celebrated. For the first time in history, these two stood side by side to sing ‘Perfect’.
A ‘perfect duet’, it's called. Never before have these two absolute top artists sung this song live together, so it was about time. What is always lovely is that Ed just stands on that stage in a t-shirt. With little fuss. He doesn't need it, so to speak. She pulls a huge bright pink dress with flair and sleeves out of the closet for the special moment. That contrast between the two: fantastic. He did nothing to his hair. She has a million stylists who thought of every strand. She has jewelry, makeup, everything. He just looks like he just got out of bed. His sultry voice, her power. Man man man, this can only bring tears. And of course go viral. See for yourself.
