Channing and Jenna

Tell me it’s not true

Dear people. I have good news and bad news. But shall we start with the bad? My faith in love is almost gone. Soon Chrissy Teigen and John Legend might drop the bomb that they are separating. I can't handle that. I can't handle it with Channing and Jenna either. Because holy cupidoroni, if one couple represented #couplegoals, it would definitely be these two, right? Not entirely, because tonight the couple announces after 12 years of love (and 9 years of marriage) that they are calling it quits.

How do you do that a bit in 2018? Right, with a statement, on Insta. A surprisingly cheerful statement, by the way. ‘Hello world! Well… We have something we want to share,’ the two begin, followed by: ‘We have made the loving decision to separate. We fell in love years ago, and nothing has changed about how much we love each other. But love is a beautiful adventure in which we are currently taking different paths.’

Just a trip down memory lane: Channing and Jenna met in 2006 on the set of Step Up, where they both played leading roles. Their daughter Everly is five. ‘We are still a family and will always be Everly's devoted parents,’ they write in conclusion. ‘We want to thank you in advance for respecting our family's privacy.’

And hey, do you remember this one (one, one, one, one?) Back in 2006.

Okay, and now on to the part that we really regret that this dream couple is breaking up. If you don’t know them yet, please take a look; the beautiful odes to each other during the Lip Sync Battle.

Wokeeeee. It turns out that not only is Channing good at the strip act.

But it must be said: Channing rocked his performance for Jenna 1000 times better afterwards.

Well, crying all over then. Shall we move on to the good news? Aside from the fact that there’s a lot of sniffling on social media, we can now make some cautious jokes. Do I hear someone saying that one of the most SEXY men is finally single again after 12 years? What? Too soon?
