Sun in a bottle

When my cousin was still a little boy, I could give him no greater pleasure than a trip through the car wash. “Do you smell the soap, Aunt May-Britt?” His nostrils would flare up. No greater happiness than the perfect scent.

For me, summer begins when I apply Lancaster products. That scent. Summer in a bottle. And thus happiness in a bottle. Because I'm certainly not the only one with this association, Lancaster has released a perfume with their signature sun scent. This year, there is again a special edition. The scent is exactly how you want it. Like the products, but even more perfume-worthy. And and and and. Yes, there is an and. Or an extra. Or a bis, as the Italians say; and that is the bottle. And the box. They were designed by Clément Dezelus, and let that be my absolute favorite of all the illustrators I admire. Those palm trees. You want them. That trip to Koh Phangan or Ipanema is surely coming this year too, but until then you apply this perfume and look at this packaging and you are in the same state of bliss.
