There she is
Sometimes I wondered: Why? Why was I doing this again? Amayzine.com is doing great. I would have had carpal tunnel syndrome six times by now if I had to high five you every day. Just because there are so many of you. Thank you for that. So why this then? A magazine added. Was print not dead? And antique? And oh yes, that fuss with the photographer doesn't want to work with that stylist and certainly not in that studio and that makeup artist wants to do her own but then comes with two assistants. You didn't have any of that online. That goes nice and fast. With short lines and small egos. But still, I wanted it. Yes, I believe I was typing at night. And someone once found me at 5:00 AM with a laptop on my lap on the bathroom floor. And I believe I also cried very hard at the kitchen table once.
But now she is here. Our fourth issue. And I stare at her like a newborn baby. The spine is right. Length and weight too. And if there were an Apgar score for magazines, she would score a triple ten. Tomorrow she will be in the store. But if you can't wait or don't feel like going out in the cold... info@amayzine.com is where you need to be to order her first. For 5.99 she is entirely yours.
236 pages of fashion, tears, friendship, inspiration, and all, all, all the shows of this summer. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed making it, because just like with a real child, the making process was ultimately quite a pleasant task.
