New favorite spot
Shall we just start the week off nicely? As in extremely nicely? The people close to me know that I eat out about three times a week on average. Call it a, uh, hobby. I tend to burn a pot of rice myself, so it’s safer for everyone if I go out. After hundreds of restaurants, I can definitely call myself quite critical. And now I’ve discovered a restaurant, wow wow. I actually don’t want to share this with you, yet I do. The name is Joya. And my Asian roots are really coming to the surface. Looking forward to a really good glass of white to catch up with that friend soon? Want to go out to eat in a nice, quiet place? A fan of Asian, refined bites to share? Then this is your spot. Joya serves Thai steak tartare, spicy ceviche, the tastiest softshell crab on earth, and god knows what other delightful things. Tip: definitely try the tasting of the three different eastern oysters. Costs a tenner and you’ll be eternally grateful to me for it. Where is it located? Super simple, right by Amsterdam Central, Spuistraat 3. And, tell only one friend, otherwise I might lose my new spot, deal?
