Becoming rich while sleeping: it’s possible

If all those deadlines are making you dizzy and you don't know where to find your inspiration anymore: just take a nap.

Because a power nap at work could be good for your productivity. Yes, really. Sleeping during your boss's time might soon become very normal. Look, isn’t that what you’d love to get out of bed for in the morning? An effective power nap doesn’t have to last long at all. It’s about a short, light sleep of 20 minutes. That fits into any busy schedule and is just long enough to give you a boost. If you sleep longer than 20 minutes, you might fall into a deep sleep. And that’s just a bit too much of a good thing.

According to sleep experts, naps at work are a great asset that the entire staff can benefit from. Additionally, it’s already happening at Google; roughly the world’s largest and most successful company. The effect after a catnap lasts about two to three hours. It gives you more creativity, makes you smarter, and refreshes your mind. Moreover, you learn new things faster and it makes you happier. Research from Harvard Medical School also shows that a power nap has a positive effect on your memory. In short: staff that you, as a boss, can benefit from. It doesn’t compensate for all the sleep you’ve missed at night, but hey, it’s something. So if your boss wants to change the office – just subtly ask for a comfortable couch with blankets. Bet everyone will suddenly be eager to work overtime? Joe, sleep well.
