For all working moms
When Eva Jinek announced her maternity leave, a journalist from the south felt it necessary to write that a woman who is so pregnant can no longer do her job. Well, he found out. All working mothers jumped on him. The idea. I actually think that the interview Eva had with Bill Clinton on her last day gained a deeper layer precisely because she was pregnant. It made her even more human. A woman who is an example for other working women. A woman who carries the new generation within her. Well, one of them.
I loved working during my pregnancy. A little kick on the inside of my belly during a meeting, always an opening for a conversation that often leads to hilarious birth anecdotes from other women, and I also found it important to keep my perspective open. This is also what the new Supermom campaign is about; that you should be able to remain yourself during your pregnancy.
Being pregnant is the richest experience I have had in my life, but I remained who I was. Only something was added. A belly. And, okay, two cup sizes. As a pregnant woman, you should be seen. It’s just such a short period in your life, so ‘if you have it, flaunt it’ applies here as well. It was a sport for me to look good and not to succumb to comfortable and uncool, because both can truly coexist. Exactly. There are many tricks to adjust your clothing to your pregnant state, but what I have mainly learned is that maternity fashion exists for a reason. These designers understand better than anyone the strange quirks and changes your body goes through and which clothing looks best on you in this phase of your life.
I recommend the collection from the new campaign of Supermom, because Supermom understands that you are more than just a mother-to-be. You work, you go out, you hop on that bike with your love, and you shop with friends. You are and remain the same, just as well dressed as always. So whether you are more of a #workingmom like me, a #festivalmom who roams all the parties, or a #datenightmom who enjoys a romantic dinner with her husband; in the new Supermom collection, you will score the most beautiful items.
Because I have a soft spot for pregnant women (and secretly miss that time a bit), I have of course explored their collection. These are my #workingmom favorite looks, and guess what? I get to give away two. So email me at win@amayzine.com and who knows, you might be the lucky one.
