Why the street is the new catwalk
Once upon a time, fashion was something determined in Paris or Milan. The colors, the codes, we received them and obediently followed. That was once. Fashion has become democratic. The street determines. And the street is diverse, so anything goes. That’s why you can fully express yourself this summer. Sweatpants (preferably combined with a nice blouse or top), hoodies under a blazer, sneakers (and this year a leading role for the so-called ‘ugly’ sneaker) under a long skirt; anything goes. As long as it’s colorful and original. You choose what suits you, not what someone else says you should wear.
At the Bijenkorf I feel like Carrie Bradshaw landing in fashion heaven. Everything I find beautiful is there, and more. The buyers of the Bijenkorf have scoured both the catwalks and the streets of Berlin/Paris/New York/Milan/Amsterdam to gather the most beautiful and coolest items for us. For you, but also for your children. Because you naturally want to give them the cutest look. I’m going all out on the summer wardrobe for my girls. Vingino, Petit Bateau, Tommy Hilfiger, Scotch and Soda. Think of it and it’s there.
To help your children develop their taste and choose the perfect outfit, there are all sorts of fun activities for you and your child at the Bijenkorf on Wednesday, April 18, and during the weekend of April 20 to 22 in various branches. Click here for all information. And don’t forget to browse the racks of your favorite designers in the meantime.
