Drinking is what you want
Correction: drinking hanging is what I want. But if you're reading this, it could very well be that you become a real drinking hanger too. Drinking hanging is a good Finnish custom, they call it kalsarikänni by the way. And if you can do it, then you understand that those upstairs neighbors haven't looked at it so badly.
First you wanted hygge, because hygge was the higher art of living. You planted your butt on a little rug close to a fireplace, surrounded yourself with friends and family, and let the stew simmer nicely on the stove. This was not just a cozy visit, no, this was the art of living, an activity in itself. Hygge. Then we had to do it especially lagom. The definition of lagom is roughly, because there is no one-to-one meaning, just right. Not too much of this, not too little of that. But perfectly on point. In balance, so, and if there is something that is NOT on my resume, then I think it is that.
But now we are going to do Drinking Hanging, something I think I am phenomenally good at. I mean really in the standing ovation category. That if there are world championships kalsarikänni, I might just have a chance at an Olympic spot. So good. Kalsarikänni is being at home with a glass of wine (or two or three or a bottle) in sweatpants with warm socks doing what you want. Watching Netflix, endlessly scrolling through Instagram, doing the quickstep in your living room, singing loudly and off-key... And all this without worrying about anything. I CAN do this, guys. I CAN do this.
If you want to get the art and techniques down a bit properly, then you want to read Drinking Hanging. The book comes out on October 9th, but you can already reserve a copy now. Soon you'll be a master in Drinking Hanging.
