Iets ouds, iets nieuws

Come take a look in my attic and you'll be shocked. A moving box graveyard full of clothing items (especially loud ‘trend items’) that I actually don't wear anymore and maybe have only worn three times in total and then saw them everywhere and therefore didn't want to wear them anymore. Yes, embarrassing, I know.

That was me a few years ago. You should know that I have seriously improved my life since then. I try not to buy quickly ‘just to buy’, but keep my fingers on the purse strings until I really fall in love with an item. An item for which I can then comfortably save a little longer. If you, like me, have a whole bunch of items in the attic that are gathering dust but do deserve a second life: I have the perfect party for you. Mark Thursday, February 1st in your calendar.

Why? To get rid of your old clothes, catch up with Stephanie Broek (you just gotta love her) and because it's time to look at fashion differently. Viktor&Rolf have entered into a sustainable collaboration with Zalando and that day their limited RE:CYCLE collection will be launched and it promises to be a grand spectacle. The remarkable thing about RE:CYCLE is that Viktor&Rolf made the items from leftover items from the Zalando assortment. How cool is that? And sustainable, too.

Be sure to bring some bags, because during the event at the beautiful location Droog in Amsterdam you can drop off your old clothes at the Sympany containers, which ensure that your old clothes are recycled into new clothing. How does Sympany see it? Why use new fabrics when the old ones are still good? And you receive a 1% discount (up to 15%) on the regular collection for each clothing item you hand in at Zalando.nl. Win-win, right? I say: do it. We'll see you there, of course.
