Instagram and Snapchat have removed all gifs

Have you noticed? We have already screamed about it. Because suddenly we can no longer use gifs in our Instagram Stories and on Snapchat.

And we love them so much, all those dancing and moving drawings full of glitter and unicorns. But something went wrong in the wide world of gifs. It's not your phone and you don't need an update. The problem: a racist gif has surfaced that prompted the immediate blocking of all gifs. It's a gif showing millions of deaths caused by dark-skinned people killing others. A drastic decision to block everything right away, but once you know the reason, it makes perfect sense.

Good news for all gif fans: the absence of gifs is only temporary. The company GIPHY is now reviewing all the gifs that exist, and once everything is approved, they will be available again. Unfortunately, it is still unclear when we can use this favorite feature again. And drawing your own glitter and bouncing puppies is just not as fun.
