Our favorite spots in Ibiza

With a grin from ear to ear, I'm back behind my laptop. Ibiza, what exactly were we up to? Soon heading that way and no idea where to go? Kiek and Lil at your service. We cruised around the island in search of the finest spots. Here it comes.

Cala Cracioneta

Discovered by chance while searching for nearby beaches on the navigation, but holy guacamole, what a gigantic lovely little bay. Hidden, small-scale, and with a super chill restaurant. We sat here with a large pot of mussels, happy with our feet in the sand. Tip: order a fresh coconut for your beach bed. The best.

Jul’s

Yeah sorry, maybe a bit exaggerated, but if it were up to me, you won't find better. Lil and I enjoyed it so much here that it almost became embarrassing. Tip: the lobster risotto. And definitely save room for dessert afterwards. Also a great spot for lunch by the way. And believe me: you won't leave here without ten photos.

Amante

I received this tip about thirty times on Instagram and Tessa and Annabelle insisted we had to go. Amante is a lovely beach bar to lazily hang out on the beach and sip cocktails. We literally lounged here all day on a couch between the rocks. Tip: reserve in advance, otherwise you can whistle for a bed.

Casas Blancas

On the recommendation of our Airbnb host, we drove with the rental car towards Casas Blancas, a small beach mainly frequented by locals. Upon arrival, there were six mini-beds ready with a view so beautiful that you wonder why no busloads of Japanese tourists stop here yet. And that's exactly why it's such a fantastic spot. Tip: don't go too late, otherwise the beds will be gone.

Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel

The wet dream for anyone who loves pink. This 70s hotel entirely in Miami Vice style is a sort of I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie woohoohoorld for adults. To be honest, the neighborhood isn't that great, but the beds, the shower, the pool, and the atmosphere are absolutely amazing. We slept great and then just hopped in the car for the nice beaches. Tip: the half crispy, warm brownies from room service or at bar Andy’s. Heaven on earth.

La Bodega

After a few nights of being ‘trendy’, we craved some good old-fashioned tapas. This is one of those places where you can lean back and know it will be good. The atmosphere, the red wine, the music; everything is just as it should be. Tip: the aioli. We haven't had it this good in a long time.
