brilliant (pink!) hotels for a bachelorette weekend

I’m a Barbie girl, in a Barbie wuuhuuhuuuld. Imagine, just imagine your best friend is getting married soon, or you’re in need of a good old-fashioned girls' weekend, or you’re simply addicted to pink and ready for a trip: this is what you want. 5 amazing hotels that will bring out your inner Paris Hilton.

The Royal Hawaiian, Hawaii
Sigh. Waikiki Beach. Our Tessa stayed there during her honeymoon and it has been on my bucket list for so long, if only for the name. So if you ever find a suitcase full of money on the street: call me. And you can bet we’re going to sleep in this iconic hotel.

Portugal Boutique City Hotel, Lisbon
Ha, a tip from me that’s not really well known yet. Lisbon is definitely the most fun city I’ve ever been to (just read this), and if you really want to complete that experience, you should sleep in this pink paradise. You won’t even have to search for a restaurant, because the sushi and oysters are disgustingly delicious. Extra plus: you’re right in the center, so you can easily roll into the city with the girls.

The Beverly Hills Hotel, Los Angeles

Pink walls, pink cushions, milkshakes, garden furniture, napkins, paintings, you name it: they understand what makes us happy here. The historic luxury hotel is a well-known name among Hollywood stars. Do you recognize the facade? You might. The hotel is on the cover of the album ‘Hotel California’ by The Eagles.

Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel, San Antonio
Think: Miami Vice, retro paradise, 70’s style, flamingos, golden palm trees, art deco, including Smeg refrigerators and Marshall speakers in your favorite color. The pool? Pink water. The bar? Guess three times. And I haven’t even mentioned those hotel rooms, so so fun. Book on time because this hotel is often fully booked. Vamos!

Amanjena Hotel, Marrakech

For a 1001 nights fairy tale with the girls, book a weekend in Marrakech now. Immerse yourself in Aladdin vibes in this 5-star boutique hotel. It’s an oasis of calm, but with the shuttle bus, you’ll be in the busy medina of the Moroccan city in no time.

Everyone needs to save up a bit, because for the suites you pay about 650 euros per night. Although that’s not too bad when shared by two per room, especially when you see how incredibly good the reviews are.
