The Insta-fight with Kim Catrall
I was quite shaken this week. How can you humiliate someone like that? I'm of course talking about Kim Catrall. And Sarah Jessica Parker. Just a recap: Kim's brother had passed away and she posted about it on Instagram. Sarah Jessica sent her love and strength. That kind of thing. Kim dedicated a whole post to it with this text: I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.
Oof. How do you respond when you're SJP? I think something involving blowing a lot into paper bags, puffing away your anger, and calling friends. Waiting until the emotion wears off and you can respond normally. Anything but a catfight.
Now was the moment. Sarah Jessica gave an interview to People Magazine and said this: “I never responded to the conversation Kim had with Piers Morgan, where she said things that were really hurtful about me. We had this experience and it was amazing, and nothing will ever be like it. We had a connection with an audience, and we had a connection with the city and with this crew, and we got to tell these crazy stories with each other. So I don’t want to mess with that.”
The best response imaginable. Chic and emotionless. And now it's over. I think. Two things are clear:
- I want to become friends with Sarah Jessica Parker now.
- SATC 3, we can cautiously write that off.
