Say whuuut: you can soon score designer items here for very cheap

Always wanted a Saint Laurent jacket but no money tree in the garden? Really craving a vintage gem from Prada, Versace, or Valentino but also need to book that autumn holiday? Ha, then I have something fun. Or should I say, something fan-freaking-tastic.

Mark a big fat cross on November 18 in your calendar, because that's when the Branded per Kilo sale takes place at the Posthoornkerk in Amsterdam. An initiative by Vintage per Kilo, which has been organizing huge vintage sales in the Netherlands and Belgium for seven years – and now maybe the best one ever. The high-end gems have been fished out and are now being sold separately during a special sale. You hear me? There are over 1000 kilos of clothing from brands like Armani, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Woolrich, Stone Island, Prada, Moschino, Burberry, Moncler, Yves Saint Laurent, Barbour, and Valentino on the racks. HELLO. The idea is simple: you go on a treasure hunt, you search, you grab, you find, and once you're done shopping, all your items go on the scale and you pay for the total weight.

The fun part is: you pay 60 euros per kilo. If your Prada blouse weighs 200 grams, you pay just 12 (!) euros. The inner bargain hunter in me almost wants to say it only starts in the afternoon, but before I get hate mail: those who want to score need to get up early. Or well, early, it starts at 11:00 AM. Not too bad. By the way, entry is free, but a coat check is mandatory. If you want to know all the details, definitely check out the Facebook group of Branded per Kilo.

And I say: LET THE HUNTING GAMES BEGIN! (And may the odds be ever in your favor…)
