Stop searching: this is the most original gift ever

Last weekend it was time to fully put myself in the spotlight for the annual JFK gala. The whole Harbour Club was packed with nominated ‘Greatest Men’, beautifully dressed ladies (with Abbey Hoes in a completely see-through dress by Benchellal standing out) and business big shots who had to bid heavily during the auction for Lymph & Co: the foundation established by Bernhard van Oranje that raises money to fund scientific research into lymph node cancer. The evening ended with half a ton for a good cause, plus a lot of drunk celebrities on the dance floor. Don't worry: we kept it classy and left just in time to go home.

A while ago I ran into my girlfriend Melody who, as always, looked radiant. She had just come from her ‘secret’ spot where she has been going for years for a nice Microdermabrasion treatment. She had to spell it out for me, because otherwise I would never have remembered it: but it was absolutely worth the spelling. In the meantime, I have been to Si Skin for such a treatment and unlike many treatments, you see immediate results: my skin looked immediately more even and radiant. But even if you suffer from acne, dry skin, pigmentation spots, or early wrinkles, Microdermabrasion is an absolute recommendation. My next appointment is already scheduled.

If you need an extremely original gift soon, you can stop searching right here. From friends, we received an adoption tree for our wedding and let me be honest: at first, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. But when I received an email last September that we could pick our own apple tree, I became super excited! At Landgoed de Olmenhorst, you will find beautiful orchards filled with apples and pears that can be picked at the end of the year. If you don't have an adoption tree, you can pick on a special area and pay for your harvest by the kilo. Definitely a great outing, especially with kids.

The moment that Ikea-like-packages are being dragged into the house, I suddenly become very busy outside the door. Don't give me tasks that involve putting things together, because I have exactly zero patience for that. And especially during Otis’ baby gear phase, I had a good excuse with that big belly not to help put things together. Now that the little one is growing almost a centimeter a day and it's time for a new high chair, I was already worried about the assembly package that would come with it. But when the Cybex Lemo Chair arrived last week, I wanted to surprise Jon. Okay, let me be honest: it involved four screws and three minutes of my time, but hey, I did put a chair together myself. Long live technological advancement with super handy chairs that even the biggest klutz can assemble in no time.
