The 6 bubbles from Lidl that you want to uncork now

The corks are popping but the pressure from the bottles. A glass here, a bottle there, life is much more pleasant with a generous dose of smooth bubbles. We think so. That's why we took a round in the shelves of our friends at Lidl, to select the best bubbles for you. You can nicely ring in the new year with it.

1. Bissinger Champagne Premium Cuvée Brut

– from €19.99 for €16.99

In the category ‘we can definitely enjoy a glass or two (three, four, five) of this’: the Bissinger. Nice and fresh, good finish (the expert would say), big bubble and well-priced. And don't tell anyone, but it's also on sale. You can get a sturdy bottle for less than 17 euros.

Available in stores and online.

2. Champagne Comte de Brismand Brut Reserve

– €12.99

Not too sweet, not too sour and very pleasantly priced. The Comte de Brismand is a bargain to kick off your NYE.

Available in stores and online.

3. Cremant de Bourgogne AOP Brut

– €6.49

Another award winner from Lidl: the Cremant was awarded a Silver Outstanding. Look, that's something you can bring home and open a bottle, we thought. A nice, soft, sparkling wine that does well with enthusiasts, for a similarly soft price.

Available in stores and online.

4. Bissinger Champagne Rosé Brut

– €16.99

The pink bubble from the Bissinger family is a bit dry, has a big mousse and does well if you're more of a rosé lover. You'll definitely start the new year feeling rosy.

Available in stores and online.

5. Sensi Gold Prosecco Spumante Brut DOC 2017

– €9.99

If you (like Lil) want the bottle to be just as good-looking as the contents of the glass, then you walk into Lidl for the Sensi Gold Prosecco. A bit of confetti around the glasses, bottle on the table and it's a party in itself. You just have to toast.

Available online only

If you're not really into the bubbly stuff, then skip to the white wine. A bottle of Sancerre for yourself is a great plan if the rest is bubbling away. Cheers, to an Amayzine 2019.
