The 7 reasons why you want to book this hotel rapido

W Hotel

If your phone rings with the question of whether you would like to spend three days at the W Barcelona, you won't think too long. I certainly didn't. That's why I flew to Barcelona to see the W up close. Warning: it's too cool not to book it. Let me walk you through why you want it too.

1. The W has the view

Waking up more pleasantly is impossible. And then those buttons next to your bed, with which you can turn just about everything on and off. The light (of course), the speakers, but also (yes, really) the curtains from bed. You get a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea. Tip: ask for a room on one of the highest floors, that view provides instant vacation vibes. Yes, even in the autumn.

2. The W has a spa

Do you love a good massage, facial, or mani-pedi and want to relax? Then Bliss Spa is the place to be. It belongs to the list of the top 10 spas in Barcelona and they cater to your requests. Just take the elevator down and you feel like you're in another world.

3. The W is instagrammable

The terrace, the pool, the hotel rooms, the lounge: all equally beautiful and all equally instagrammable. W Barcelona does great things for your feed. So think about who you bring along, because that person needs to love photography.

4. The W has next level room service

You might already know that the room service is delicious in all W hotels. But (and I found this amazing) you can order in Barcelona via a WhatsApp message. No, I'm not joking. Just send a message with your order and before you know it, those pancakes are in front of you.

5. The W has the shower

A rain shower. With two (!) shower heads. And as big as your own bathroom. This is one where you stand under for at least an hour. Need I say more?

6. The W serves cocktails and sushi

For cocktails, sushi, and afterparties, you go to Eclipse, the cocktail bar and nightclub on the 26th floor of W Barcelona. Nice music, a phenomenal view over the city, and a relaxed atmosphere. You'll definitely want to spend some hours here.

7. The W organizes Wake Up Call

And last but not least: this is the first festival in the world that is organized in a hotel and provides the most luxurious festival experience ever. With three stages in different places in the hotel and a lineup that wouldn't be out of place at ADE (Boston Bun, Thomas Jack, Robin Schulz, Pete Tong, Black Coffee, and Martin Solveig), Wake Up Call is the place to be if you love music.

Look, that trip suddenly becomes even more attractive. The next edition of Wake Up Call in 2019 is in Dubai and the tickets are selling fast, so if this isn't the best excuse to book already, then I don't know what is. W Dubai, here we come.
