The BN'ers with the most euros in their pockets
Money doesn't make you happy, but how easy it is. The Quote with 500 richest in the country landed on the doormat this morning and we have another pleasant list of famous Dutch people popping up in the rankings. You want to know the big names.
John de Mol leads the famous Dutch with a fortune of 2.7 billion euros. Good for fourth place, where he was previously fifth. But d'n John managed to boost his bank account by an extra 100 million euros this year. That is rewarded by Quote. Joop van den Ende follows John in first place with 1.6 billion, which is good for fourteenth place. So far for the biggest media moguls.
But the pleasant surprise came from royal circles. Mabel of Orange-Nassau storms into the 500 and enters at place 149. Mabel has shares in the company Adyen, you know, that payment platform, and owes her fortune of 240 million to the IPO. Quote estimates the overseas fortune of Reinout Oerlemans at 170 million, but he had to take a hit, as Reinout dropped from place 215 to number 241. I suspect it doesn't bother him much. And to close the gates and keep it a bit danceable, Tiësto is also doing quite well with 140 million.
Oh, the richest of the rich is still Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken. The daughter of brewer Freddy Heineken has 12.8 billion euros in her account. The Brenninkmeijertjes remain the richest family in the country.
