The cocktail for when you don't drink alcohol

A cocktail without alcohol, honestly, I always try to avoid that a bit. But sometimes, you're driving or you have that super important pitch tomorrow or you just don't want any alcoholic drinks for a while. Ordering another cola is boring and I haven't even mentioned that sloshing cola belly. You want something tasty, something delicious, if possible healthy and a bit different.

I'm going to make you happy. Agroposta is what you want in your life. They hand-pick the fruits and plants and make syrup from that. What does that mean? No gluten, no added color and flavor, no preservatives and very, very pure and natural. And that in a cocktail, alcohol-free (or not). Because we are dealing with a real heatwave, I recommend lemon and mint, but you can also go wild with sage, elderflower, raspberry, or lavender. Whatever it becomes, cheers, people.

You need for a Don Plex (yes, that's really what it's called):

  • 1 cm² jalapeño
  • 30 ml Agroposta mint syrup
  • 15 ml Agroposta lemon syrup
  • 150 ml tonic water

And to make it all cozy:

  • Slice of jalapeño
  • Mint leaves
  • Two straws

Here's how to make it:

Put 1 cm² jalapeño in a glass and add ice cubes. Add both Agroposta syrups and top off with the tonic water. Stir well and garnish with two straws, a slice of jalapeño, and mint leaves. So simple, so delicious.

Okay okay, and because I can't help it: a variant with alcohol and Agroposta lemon syrup. You're welcome.

You need for an Irish Spring Sour:

  • 30 ml Irish whiskey or Bourbon
  • 30 ml cranberry juice
  • Agroposta lemon syrup
  • 15-20 ml lemon juice
  • 10 red currants

And to make it all cozy:

  • 5 red currants
  • A sprig of rosemary

Here's how to make it:

Juice the lemons with a juicer. Fill a large glass with ice and pour in the whiskey, lemon syrup, lemon juice, and cranberry juice. Peel 10 red currants and gently squeeze them open until the juice comes out and add this. Stir the ingredients together and let the cocktail rest for a moment. Take a whiskey glass with plenty of ice. Let the glass cool for a moment and pour the cocktail into the glass. Add a sprig of rosemary and some red currants and you're done.
