The dress of Princess Eugenie
Our neighbors are celebrating another royal wedding. Princess Eugenie had to wait her turn because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got priority, but today she said ‘yes’ to wine merchant Jack Brooksbank (we get it, we get it).
Such a delightful wedding, but of course we mainly want to know what Princess Eugenie of York is wearing. The dress is a creation by Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos. A V-line envelops Eugenie's shoulders and she is not wearing a veil, which is quite unique among the royals. The bodice is fitted with an impressive pleated skirt underneath. The British royal family states that the dress is built layer by layer in Como, Italy. On her head, Eugenie wore the Greville tiara from the family's collection.
Oh, and fun fact about the costs of the day: Eugenie actually cannot dip into the royal household fund, but because grandma The Queen is in attendance, the security is still paid for by the royals. That's surely a nice bonus. Meghan Markle donned Givenchy, while sister-in-law Kate opted for Alexander McQueen.
