The effect of cold on your sex life
Sorry, but this weekend it suddenly feels like minus eight (emotionally speaking) and we prefer to stay inside, under a soft blanket, safe on the warm couch where there is tea and where a heater is roaring.
This year it might be more of a transition than ever: it was so scorching hot that whole summer that lasted six months, and now it's finito and winter is about to begin. Oh dear, scraping again and shivering on the bike with hats and mittens over the canals. But what does that cold actually do to your relationship? Does it give you a boost in the bedroom or does it just result in more obedient sleeping?
Cold is good for your sex life. And not just because you are inside more than in summer and thus spend more time together at home, no, a man's libido actually rises when it's cold outside. He has extra desire for a little fun and he is all the more curious about what is hidden under that big sweater. In summer, he sees enough nudity everywhere, so oh well, he won't care. No, winter is the time of year when the man of the house craves it. And you will notice that too. This is also because he is more well-rested: you sleep a bit more in winter because you get tired faster in the evening. In summer, you stay awake for hours and often go out for drinks with friends. Then you don't need to so much.
So do it, that little winter fun, because a bit of sex helps a lot against a winter dip, a cold, or trouble getting up. It makes you happier, your immune system gets a boost, and that helps to see a bit of color in that pitch-black day (yes, sorry). Better than taking a vitamin. Better than a cup of ginger tea. Better than sleeping for ten hours.
So oh well, skip the pub for an evening and dive into bed with your flame. It will be a very cozy winter. Too bad, huh, when it gets warm again in April...
