The first show of the year

January is not my month, so when an outing presents itself, I look forward to it even more than usual. January 16 was already thickly circled in the calendar: to Berlin for Marc Cain. The dress was ready, I had already received it. In red, because Marc Cain loves exuberant and colorful. To top it off, I bought a stunning pair of knee-high boots from Isabel Marant (on sale). Scarf from Marc Cain in my hair and I was ready.

Marc Cain loves quality. And coolness. The brand ranges from safe and beautiful to vibrant and colorful, with the leopard print holding a special place. The location of the show was a metro station. Underground cool, but with the comfort you expect from Marc Cain. So champagne, and a soft seat at the show location. You stumbled over the German VIPs and of course there were other Dutch guests. Anna Nooshin, brand ambassador Marvy Rieder and her friend, photographer and stylist (now that's a great combination) Monique Matthijsen, whom I have known for years. The Marc Cain event is our annual party. Together to the show and afterwards we dive into a nice restaurant. This year it was the classic Borchardt that really needs to be on your list if you visit. Berlin brings.

But you want to know how the show was. Exuberant, cheerful, fresh, and cool. I saw a teddy coat with leopard print and a hood that must have my and my mother's name on the label. And what do you think of the final look? Those glitter boots. That top. Those shorts. And please also the head, hair, and body of the model, while we're at it. And how nice it was that each look was in full color. Choose a color and mix your look with different variations of that shade.

The special thing about a Marc Cain show is that the quality is visible from the catwalk: the fabric, the weave, the pattern; everything equally beautiful and comfortable. That is what makes us happy. Especially in this January month. On to spring.
