The magic of the CHANEL bottle

Chanel has three new fragrances, although I should actually call them ‘eaux’. Les Eaux de Chanel, each with its own signature: Paris-Deauville, Paris-Venise, and Paris-Biarritz. Here I wrote extensively about the scent and the ingredients, but the bottle has also been thoughtfully designed by Chanel's creative team. I give you five reasons why you would want to have Les Eaux just for the bottle because oh la la, what a delightful luxury this is.

1. The shape of the bottle

It is a generous bottle of 125 ml that fits comfortably in the hand. The inspiration comes from the hip flask that men used to carry in their inside pocket.

2. The cap

It is made of Bakelite, you know, the material that used to be used for rotary phones. It is light but sturdy and gives the perfect click when you place it on the bottle.

3. The logo

The double c is beautifully engraved on the cap of the bottle, but when you remove the cap, you can also see the double c on the inside of the cap. God is in the details, I told you so?

4. The bottom

If you tilt the bottle, you will also see ‘CHANEL’ on the bottom. It is a total experience, I tell you.

5. The vaporizer

The bottles are equipped with a special pump that disperses the micro-droplets longer than a traditional sprayer, making the application of the fragrance a luxurious experience in itself.

You can tell all this to your loved one when you give this to him for Father's Day, because this is of course the perfect gift. It is ‘no gender’, so you can enjoy it too, haha.

Les Eaux de Chanel are not available everywhere (because they are exclusive), but in the boutique, in the e-boutique and in the Bijenkorf.
