This contributes tutti at Coachella
The coolest festival of the year has opened and even for those who don't necessarily get restless and breathless from the phenomenon of festivals (like yours truly), Coachella (these were the best Coachella looks ever by the way) is the festival you need to keep an eye on. Look there and you'll know what to wear. I definitely spotted some trends that are a must this year and that really shouldn't be missed.
1. Dohoei boho
It seemed like an indelible kind (just like the military print, but that seems to have been systematically eliminated as well), but the flower crown and the frayed denim shorts with a chunky boot or, god forbid, gladiator sandals seem to be over. What you should wear? Silk scarves as seen on the catwalks, so anything goes. Wear it Muslim-inspired, tightly tied around the head or fold it into a cap yourself. Anything goes, as long as it's made of silk. The festival hit will definitely be the silk scarf from Dior, I'm telling you. Dior is the new Gucci.
2. Grab your dad's sneakers
At this Coachella, you will still spot a sandal (or a Gucci water shoe) somewhere, but the real it-girls are wrapping their pedicured feet in dad shoes, or the ugly shoe. The must-have is the Balenciaga Triple S sneaker (almost nowhere to be found anymore) or the Fila Disruptors. Combine it with a slim floral dress that ends halfway down the calf and it rains hearts.
3. The small colored glasses
The glasses are here to stay. Narrow and almond-shaped. Of course, you wear them on the tip of your nose and look over them playfully. They serve no purpose, but who cares about that.
4. The fanny pack
Can stay too. What you also see more is that a bag with a short chain (like Chloé has) is used as a belt. This fanny pack is our latest editorial addition by the way. Perfect to give that long dress a touch-up and ideal for festivals. Let those hands go up in the air.
