Mother Earth doesn't quite know what she wants. If it keeps being that drizzly almost-not-weather, then just give me autumn now. In fact, I'm really looking forward to the season of falling leaves. This is why.
The candles can be lit again
Yes, call me mega aunt Pollewop, but Christ, I find it cozy with candles in the house.
Autumn is nice and relaxed
Autumn is such a season where it's permissible to lie on the couch all day in your zebra onesie and slippers under a blanket. In autumn, we don't have to do much. No barbecues, terrace dates, and pool parties. And honestly: that's actually quite nice.
You can only really get a fresh breath of air when it’s truly fresh
Nature is beautiful in autumn. Perhaps at its most beautiful. The trees get spectacular colors, the sky suddenly becomes Insta-worthy, and the autumn sun during that walk gives you a fit and happy feeling. And then warming up with a cup of tea inside.
And that cup of tea is nothing without your homemade apple pie...
Which you suddenly also crazy enough only have time and desire for when it gets colder. I'm a complete disaster in the kitchen, but in autumn, I always feel like baking cakes, pies, and cookies.

Something with stamppot
I don't even really like it and yet I crave it. Kale or something.
Not having to deal with that razor every single day for those perfect bare legs
It's perfectly fine to have it once a week in autumn, you know. If you're really lazy, twice, you little stinker.
Closet cleanouts
A pile to give away, a pile to throw away, summer clothes at the back of the closet, winter clothes at the front of the closet... It's nice to switch everything around. Especially when you realize you have way too little winter clothing and thus need to shop a lot.
New collections
Not just fashion brands, but also makeup brands always come out with all sorts of nice stuff in autumn. Warm fabrics and rich colors; looking forward to it.
Pumpkin soup doesn't taste good in the summer either
