Amayzine

These are the best ice cream parlors of 2018

These tropical temperatures call for a summer treat. Ice cream. Preferably at least three scoops with disco dip and whipped cream. Here at the editorial office, we get hysterical just hearing the word ‘IJscuypje’. We could almost get a subscription. To make your summer even more fun, I have selected the six tastiest and favorite ice cream parlors from our editorial team. The ice cream parlors of 2018. From Amsterdam to Bergen op Zoom. Let’s go.

Utrecht

Roberto Gelato

You do have to stand in line for about thirty minutes, but then you get something worthwhile. Roberto Gelato Utrecht; last week again declared the best ice cream parlor in Utrecht. Go taste it and you'll immediately understand why.

Amsterdam

IJscuypje

Do you want to spot the Amayzine editorial team in the wild? Now you know where to find us. Who doesn't know IJscuypje? From strawberry quark pie to kletskop ice cream; I don't need to say more, right?

Amstelveen

Da Vinci

In 2016, Da Vinci was in the top 5 of the best ice cream parlors in the Netherlands. They are known for their pistachio ice cream and extensive assortment.

Bergen op Zoom

Crusio

They were closed for a while, but since March 1st, it has reopened and the ice cream is better than ever.

The Hague

Florencia

According to Lilian, Florencia must be added to the list. If you live near The Hague, you know Florencia. The Hague ice cream parlor has been around for 87 years and has changed little since then. And that's a good thing, because they have artisanal ice cream in many flavors. Yes, please!

Haarlem

Garrone

The Garrone family are true connoisseurs. They work with only fresh ingredients. Two flavors even proudly bear the name of Haarlem: ‘Haarlemse kus’ (walnuts with figs) and ‘Haarlem by night’.
