These things in the house make you (unconsciously) extremely tired

Oh, what a horror. Going out the door in the morning while it's still dark outside. Hi, winter. I know you are part of it, but I will resist for a while if that's okay. No idea what's going on, but I was quite tired this week.
Can you fall asleep right after dinner when you get home? Your decor, appliances, and lifestyle choices may all play a role. Do you, like me, get enough sleep but still find yourself yawning? Then keep an eye on these disruptors in your home.
1. The color of your wall
Especially blue is specific, the color of the sky and the sea. It's all just a bit too peaceful. Your heart seems to beat slower through the color blue, which lowers your blood pressure. In the bedroom, again a great plan, but in the living room? Hi, tired feeling. Don't want that.
2. Your clutter
A messy, disorganized environment sucks up a lot of energy due to stress. Stress that you might not feel immediately, but your brain is working overtime due to the stimuli and irritation that your mess creates. At least grab a box and stuff all the loose items that are lying around on the dining table in there.
3. Scented candles
So cozy, scented candles, but the oils that are released can also make you extremely tired and drowsy. Especially when you look at lavender, for example. A great idea in the bedroom, but leave it out in the living room. Preferably choose a fresh scent in that space.
4. The three t's
Your TV, telly, and tablet. Did you know that your TV and tablet emit blue radiation that suppresses the production of the sleep hormone melatonin in your brain? That's why you can sometimes binge late into the night without getting tired.
5. Closed curtains
Research shows: the more natural light you have during the day in your living room, the better you sleep at night. So come on, open those things! You will feel a lot less sleepy during the day as well.
