This is no joke: Netflix is getting significantly more expensive

There are two groups of people in this world: people who have a Netflix account and people like me, who watch countless series and have never paid a euro.

In fact: I wouldn't even know how to create a login on Netflix. How to transfer money to Netflix. And I also don't know how much Netflix costs, because I've never paid. Oops. Thanks to everyone who has let me watch for years. I love Gossip Girl and Casa de Papel. They were delightful, delightful hours. And I fervently hope you continue to do this, because it only gets more expensive with all that binge-watching, it turns out. Yes, sorry to all of you, those people from that other group.

According to the latest news, it may even be that Netflix will cost at least three euros more per month. Whoa, wait, that seems like nothing and one less coffee a day, but it's quite a lot. So you're just spending a neat 36 euros more per year. You could definitely get your nails done twice, just to name something. Or drink 11 glasses of wine. Or get 36 hamburgers from McDonald's.

The worst news? Accounts with multiple users are especially in trouble. Then you will pay double per person. If you currently pay €4.25 per person, that might become €8.50 after a while. Ouch. Painful. Not for me perhaps, but definitely for all those others. And... It can't be, right? That those sweethearts who let me watch suddenly start asking for money after this increase? Making me pay three euros a month...? Bad, but then I find that whole Casa de Papel suddenly a lot less interesting. Just give me those 11 wines. I'll treat my love who always pays for the subscription to beer.
