This is the first gay marriage of the British royal family
I don't know what it is with all those lovebirds in 2018, but the Brits are really into it. First, we had of course Harry and Meghan, then it was announced that Princess Eugenie is getting married to Jack Brooksbank on October 12, and now the queen's cousin is going to make history. How? By marrying a man. For us, of course, it's a completely normal thing (still proud of the fact that the Netherlands was the FIRST country in the world to legally recognize gay marriage in 2001), but for the royals, it's quite a big deal, you know. Second cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten is saying 'I do' to his great love James Coyle. Lord Ivar's wedding will take place in late summer. The best part of all this? Penny (his ex-wife with whom he has three children) is bringing him to the altar. The Brits are finally going to understand it a little: love knows no gender.
