Can we talk for a moment about Khlóe Kardashian's baby shower? If you ever think it's funny to order a diaper cake for an expectant mom, think again, the Kardashian-Jenner Club is a perfect example of how it can be done.

First of all, you rent out the Grand Ballroom at Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles, because having all that common folk at home is so not Kardashian. I wanted to type ‘so 2017’, but actually ‘so not Kardashian’ covers everything in life. You drape the whole family in every shade of pink or salmon-ish they have invented. To get our attention, you post a picture on Insta with the thoughtful caption: “Magical moments with the most magical Women! I’ll be forever in love with YOU!” And then we start digging, because what else was there to see at the baby shower?

Banners are very passé; you need an elephant made of flowers as a gi-gantic centerpiece. Just like a trillion balloons on the floor in all shades of pink and a flower garden on the ceiling. To position that floral elephant, you set up a table where everyone gathers for an afternoon soiree. To keep things from clashing, you provide pink glassware, pink cutlery, pink chairs with ultra-soft cushions for the butt, pink plates, and a pink lion or giraffe as decor. Of course, there was a photowall, which you don't call that, with (yes) pink neon letters: Baby Thompson. Sister Kim Kardashian arrived fashionably way, way late, as is proper.

Sweet, sweeter, sweetest. No painted onesies to be found there. Except for Khlóe's belly and the adoration for pink, you wouldn't think it's about babies. Khlóe and her boyfriend Tristan Thompson are having a girl and they say it could be just a few weeks away.
