Eyes closed, hold your breath and think back to the absolute worst date you ever had. Got it? Probably from the cringeworthy genre that you hope to never think about again.

But on Twitter, there’s a new hype: sharing that date from hell. And when you read that, your worst date can almost be called a success. Success isn’t okay or fun by the way, but it’s something to struggle through. Imagine ending up at a church service on that first date, or having his mother sit between you in the cinema, The Dark Knight pausing a hundred times to ask if you’re following it, and then as a kicker, helping someone ‘move’ (which is already quite dubious for a first date) only to find out later it was all theft.

Or was your night out much, much, much worse? Because then we’d love to hear it.
