Plastic fantastic

We were, to say the least, quite surprised by the new collaboration between Balenciaga and Crocs. Yes, Crocs. But the plastic clogs continue to amaze us even more in the fashion world, because what is the situation? The rubber slippers that many fashion girls have turned their noses up at for years turn out to be a huge hit. For a tidy 850 dollars, the Crocs are sold out before they are even available for purchase.

The Crocs with no less than ten centimeters of plastic platform underfoot were available for pre-order at Barneys last week and were completely sold out within a few hours. Demna Gvasalia, I don’t know what you’ve done, but Crocs has just managed to attract the most critical people from the fashion world I mean: what’s next? The white legging? Skin-colored tights? We are certainly no longer surprised by anything, but we do shudder a little.
