Call it a deviation, but I get a bit down from boring notebooks. If I'm condemned to such a specimen, then it's one big vicious circle. From an ugly notebook, I will write poorly, with pens that are just out of ink, and then I have to scratch again. So it's all misery. A small grievance, that it is.

Conversely, it works the same way, by the way. A beautiful notebook deserves a decent pen, with that decent pen you have to write well and thus the endless search for the perfect notebook begins. May recently shipped ten more from Paris to home, I've been scouring websites for days and weeks for something that fits. And these three are going on my wish list, for when I return from vacation. Something to kiss, for the snack cravings AND to boost my sense of direction. Sitting down with a fresh notebook, I can't wait.
