The moment I realize they are sold out worldwide, panic sets in. Now I really have to have them. Or actually, our sales director Daniëlle and I. The idea was to buy a set so that we could both have one dangling in our ears. An iconic earring from Nicolas Ghesquière's very first show: we want it, we want it, we want it. But it just isn't happening. We looked up the product code and called the Louis Vuitton stores non-stop. From Amsterdam to the Spanish holiday address of Daan, and even her partner contacted a colleague in Shanghai and Beijing, but unfortunately, the earrings are nowhere to be found for shopping.

And with the last stop being the vintage section of our favorite shops, our courage is starting to wane a bit. But giving up is not an option, of course. Shopping is a sport, and we won't let a few disappointments keep us from these coolest earrings. And hopefully, the earrings won't abandon us either.
