Why everyone should cheat on April 26

Guys, I'm totally cheating. And not just a little, but fully. It was stronger than me. I had to, I would; well, one thing led to another and now I'm completely on the other side.

No darling, not in love, I'm intensely happy and faithful in that. I'm talking about Netflix. My beloved Netflix. Totally pushed aside for Videoland. I hear you thinking: Videoland? VIDEOLAND? Yes, Videoland indeed. And it all comes from this.

The Handmaid’s Tale. For those who don't know it yet, let me explain it to you.

The series is based on a novel by Margaret Atwood, which is about a dystopian future. Yes, I had to look that up too, but it means it's a future you don't want to be in. The opposite of utopian, I should say, in which a large part of humanity has become infertile, women are stripped of their rights and are forced to have children for infertile, powerful couples. The series was awarded eight Emmys last year and won a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series in January. Very sad, but you want to see it, believe me.

Season 1 has been available for a while, but big news from the US, because yesterday Videoland announced that the first two episodes of season 2 will be available to binge from April 26. And the Dutch release is just one day later than in the United States. We are so lucky.

Now you at least know what you have to do this weekend. I've marked a big cross in my calendar. To cheat, you understand.
