Why we think Kaj Gorgels should present Expeditie Robinson

I don't need to explain to you Robinson fans that there has been a lot going on lately around our favorite show. Dennis is appearing as a presenter for the last time this season and the replacement has still not been announced. The big question remains: who will present it in 2019? As a program maker, I know who I would choose. In fact, I'm just going to call him now.

Kaj, straight to the point. I think it would be fantastic if you are going to present Robinson.

“Yes Kiek. Of course I would want that. I said this months ago in an interview. I was asked which programs I would like to do and I said back then that Robinson has always been a dream. I have never made a secret of that. But not as a tactical move or anything.”

I can definitely imagine that. Why does it seem so cool to you?

“Robinson is the biggest reality show on Dutch television. The magical, the unreachable, pulling people out of their daily environment and putting them on an island; the program is just incredibly well put together. Many people say they want to participate someday, but when you're sitting there with 40 of those sand fleas in your anus, they sure sing a different tune, haha.”

You reached the final as a candidate last year, does that make it even more appealing to stand on the other side this time?

“Of course, that too. Just the idea. Clean, showered, nice scent on... I remember that we as candidates always smelled the crew because they smelled so good, it would be funny if people would sniff me now too.”

Seriously, Gorgels. Are there currently no discussions between you and RTL?

“No, Kiek, haha. We haven't had a conversation about this. And look, I want to emphasize that Dennis and Nicolette are really Mister and Miss Robinson to me. For me, he never had to stop. But if they are looking for a replacement, I would gladly give up my proverbial vacation to Alanya for it!”

In the corridors, Art's name is also mentioned...

“I've heard that too, yes. RTL has to decide that for themselves and nothing has ever been promised to me, I was never dangled a carrot. But if Art gets an infected toenail: they can always call me.”

Dear Amayzers, it seems clear to me, right? There is only one person suitable for this job and that is that crazy candidate from last season. Agree? Heart at the bottom if you also think Kaj should present Robinson #KajForRobinson2019. Let's see if we can make it happen...
