With this gift you are ready for both Saint and Christmas in one

December is the month of dilemmas. If I let myself go, you won't see the Christmas tree for the pile of gifts I drag into the house. But I also find it enjoyable to eat something other than crackers with cheese spread amidst the festive meals. What I mean: dilemma.

Saint has been tackled, because neat lottery tickets are drawn there. I still need to write two poetic leaning poems, but that's a concern for the evening before. I'm a deadline junkie and I firmly believe they come out better for it. But then you still have to come up with something a bit original and polished, yes. Once Saint is done, you have Christmas again.

The charm of gifts, I think, is that you give things that someone either wouldn't buy for themselves (I mean this in the right way) or wouldn't think of themselves. This can go horribly wrong twice. I'm aware of that. To prevent this, I run myself ragged through town and country, probably again an hour before closing time, to buy something for the personality in question. This is an almost im-po-ssi-ble task. And so December became a bit more challenging.

I'm now at the point where you nod in agreement. Do you? Great, then I'll give you three ingredients that people are always happy with. One takes a book, because there are even books for people who never read, which have pictures. One takes a scarf, because everyone wants a nice scarf, but no one wants to spend too much money on it. And finally, you take our package, where you find two magazines for the price of not even one. Wrap one for your lovely sister with Saint, and give the other to your favorite friend for Christmas. Saves you a round of running in the city, because it's waiting for you at AKO and The Read Shop.
