You save so much money if you never go to the pub again
Imagine, theoretically speaking, you never drink wine in the pub again. Out and about. And you also don't go out to eat anymore.
Do you realize how much money you would have saved? Let's calculate it for you. You spend about forty euros on a regular evening with some wine, a bitterball, some more wine, a beer, so about forty euros. Let's also assume that you might go out with your girlfriends once or twice a week. And then also out to eat once a week. Let's not exaggerate: that's also about fifty euros a week.
If you don't go to the pub anymore, that saves you 640 euros a month. Or: 7680 euros a year. Hey, hello, good morning LV bag collection. And then eating out, right. Delicious of course, but if you dutifully eat your burger from the AH and some canned peas at home, you save about 200 euros every month. And thus 2400 euros a year. Add it all up and by the end of the year you simply have ten thousand euros left. Oh my god. I immediately remember why I'm so bad at saving and never dare to open my savings account. I go to the pub too much (certainly until July 22 this year, yes) and I absolutely go out to eat too often (especially now that I can't drink anymore; hello, food is about the only thing I can have).
But yes, let's be honest: it's also so much fun to do. Togetherness. A reward after a day of work. A moment for you and your girlfriends. So we understand that most of your monthly salary goes here. And drinks are nice. And a pasta in a restaurant is just a bit tastier than when you make it yourself. I completely agree. And yet I can't quickly get that ten grand out of my head when I sit down in my local pub again... Damn.
