Why I am in love with Casey Neistat

People who regularly click through hours on YouTube will know: ah, of course, Casey. The man is a legend. A true phenomenon. And yet I can imagine not everyone knows him. Because it’s painful, so it’s time for a little introduction. Who, what, where? Casey Neistat. Age: 38 years. Profession: American YouTuber, early adopter, professional rule-bender, and now a millionaire thanks to, well, making videos. What a time to be alive. At fifteen, he ran away from home to later be adopted in Virginia by his older brother.

You see: Casey has always had a mind of his own. In 2001, he moved to New York to become a filmmaker. Together with his brother, he made a three-minute mini-film in which he criticized the fact that the iPod battery cannot be replaced. The video went viral and partly led to Apple’s replacement policy. Casey is a game changer. He doesn’t follow trends, he creates them. You recognize him by his characteristic Ray-Ban sunglasses (which he scrapes the logo off, yes, the man is also a bit of a weirdo) and skateboard. Alright, if you really want to get to know him, you just need to check out some videos. These are my favorites.

Fantastic how he makes us part of the most extravagant flight ever. And OF COURSE he goes showering on board.
